Three Drawings

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

I’ve done the first one in an attempt to clarify my view of philosophy as a conceptual proposal:

The second expresses my thoughts about the dual nature of actions:

In the third case I was trying to think of the different ways in which we understand the idea if necessity:

Force Fictionalism – Morals from Speech Act Theory

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

I gave a talk on this topic at Fictionalism. The Bucharest-Budapest Workshop in Philosophy, a few days ago. My slides are here. A first draft of my paper is here. Some of the notes I have made while working can be read here (although they will not make much sense by themselves).

A passing remark about belief attribution

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

Let us start with the following simple scheme of belief attribution:

Agent G does action A.
Belief B is a reason for doing A.
—-
Therefore, A believes B.

To take an example, suppose George eats a sandwich. A reason for doing so would be provided by the belief that sandwiches are nutritious, so we could attribute that belief to George.

Crestinism si discriminare

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013

Sa ne inchipuim, in plus, ca lucrurile ar sta asa doar in cazul crestinilor.

In continuare despre responsabilitate

Friday, February 15th, 2013
