OpenSUSE 10.3 GM released today

OpenSUSE 10.3 is based on the 2.6.22.5 linux kernel and the GCC 4.2 compiler. Among the new things that come with this OpenSUSE distro you will find: KDE 3.5.7 (plus some parts of KDE 4), GNOME 2.20, a GTK version of YaST, a new 1-click-install technology, MP3 support out-of-the-box, new and redesigned YaST modules, compiz and compiz fusion advances, virtualisation improvements (with Xen 3.1 and VirtualBox), OpenOffice.org 2.3 and a lot of other things.

They also say openSUSE 10.3 has improved support for some devices, a much shorter boot time and (alas!) a better package management. Muzicianul despre care unii spun ca e Dumnezeu – Arvo Pärt

Astazi Gramo si-a adus aminte de Arvo Pärt. Arvo Pärt e, ca si Philip Glass, un compozitor minimalist. Doar ca e mai putin cunoscut, fiindca nu e din America, ci din Estonia (interesting enough, bunicii lui Glass veneau din Lituania). In fine, gasiti pe net tot felul de chestii despre el, nu lungim povestea. Mai bine va uitati la cateva secvente de pe u2be:

Stiri (si altele)

Aici am citit despre observatorul astronomic al Vatican-ului. Believe it or not, se pare ca Vaticanul are un punct de vedere care se apropie destul de mult de cel al lui Gramo – nu exista nici un conflict real intre religie si stiinta; nimic nu-l impiedica pe Dumnezeu sa actioneze prin intermediul legilor naturii, pe care le descopera oamenii de stiinta.
